Company History Elegant Awnings originated in the early eighties as a retail awning dealer. The company bought its products from BAT USA, a company in Ontario, California. BAT USA was the United States distribution outlet of BAT Italia based in Venice, Italy. After a couple of years of successful retail operation, Elegant bought the entire operation known as BAT USA, and renamed it Elegant Awnings.
